Welcome to our dance family! Here at DMI dance force we strive for excellence and offer a wide variety of classes for all ages in a fun, loving, hardworking, and respectful environment! For over 17 years we have taught so much more than JUST dance. We teach and instill Respect, Responsibility, Dedication, Spirit, Passion, Teamwork, and most importantly LOVE!
What we offer
We offer 2 separate seasons at DMI for both recreation and competitive. First we have our “Main Season” that runs throughout the school year calendar ending with a recital showcase in May/June. We offer Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Pom, Contemporary, Preschool Classes, and our famous boys only hip hop/breakdancing program “DMI Boyz”. (Ages 3-18)
Our second season is our “Summer Dance” program. We offer our VERY popular State Fair Dance Camps for Preschool classes, Pom, Hip Hop, and Boyz. These classes all perform on stage at the Iowa State Fair and also participate in the Iowa State Fair parade! (Ages 3-18 for boyz and girls) We also have our Summer Team Intensives and tryouts for our potential upcoming competitive teams!
Awards & Performances
Our dancers and teams have won countless top, overall high points, special awards for choreography, costuming, entertainment and much more! We have performed annually for 8 years straight for the Harlem Globetrotters half time show, as well as just signing our 11th year contract with the NFL Kansas City Chiefs Junior Cheer Program for 2023! For 2016, 2018 and 2019 we have won the "Studio Of Excellence" award from the Association of Dance Conventions & Competitions! We have competed several routines at many Regional & National Competitions including Panama City Beach, Branson, Gatlinburg TN, and Wisconsin Dells! In 2018 We received the annual Studio Spirit/Sportsmanship Award from Rainbow Talent Competition and again in 2019 from Celebrity Talent! DMI has been honored to receive Metros Best of the Best the past 2 years for 2021 & 2022! We are SO proud of our studio and our dancers! DMI
